Holli Hartman was initiated into the Zeta Delta chapter of Tau Beta Sigma at the University of Kansas in 1989. During her time at KU, Holli served as the Midwest District First Vice President as well as in several chapter offices. She graduated in 1996 with a Bachelor of General Studies degree in Anthropology and She worked in the health insurance field and in various capacities on several political campaigns around the country. In 2003, she moved to Washington, DC where she worked for a non-profit and began her Master’s degree in Legislative Affairs at the George Washington University, graduating in 2006. In 2010, Holli returned to Lawrence, KS and the University of Kansas for engineering school and became involved in Tau Beta Sigma once more as an alumni and life member. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 2014 and moved to northern Illinois where she worked for a short time before eventually setting in Indianapolis in 2016 where she works as a civil engineer in road design and transportation.
While in band, Holli played piccolo and bass clarinet and is also a viola player. She is active in the historical recreation group, the Society for Creative Anachronism, where she is an accomplished costumer and embroiderer and enjoys archery. In what free time is left, she is learning German and Swedish, researches her family genealogy, and spends all the time she can walking and snuggling with her rescue dog, Pippy.
